Metallic Gold Coin Purse

It’s Monday afternoon I’m on no tight time schedule as I browse one of my favourite ever evolving shops – Tiger Stores. I love the concept of this store and that it’s ever changing merchandise with different styles and seasons. I always end up purchasing something I didn’t know I wanted/needed, clever guys indeed. The good news is it’s all so affordable and reasonably priced.

This little beauty caught my eye…

IMG_6578.JPGIt’s available in an array of colours from light to dark greys, to cherry and damson reds, blues, greens but there was only one sparkly gold left hanging twinkling in the lights and at only £4 I had to have it.

IMG_2773.JPGIt’s a good size and has two compartments, so much room to stash your cash, cards and lippy!

IMG_2772.JPGThe leather is sooo soft with that used worn in feel to it, which I love.

IMG_2774.JPGThe lining isn’t amazing it’s kind of a mucky greenish- grey colour but that’s ok, it’s the outer leather that’s the star of the show!

IMG_2775.JPGAt the base of the purse is another compartment with a zip fastener, not sure it’s needed but kinda cute.

These little purses will make great stocking fillers this Christmas.

Lip Therapy

The original Vaseline® petroleum jelly has been around for 140, we are all familiar with this skin heeling/beauty regime multi-use product. Famously Marilyn Monroe used to layer it on her face to keep wrinkles at bay, today makeup artists use it for a dewy look under makeup. My Nan Gladys was a very glamorous lady and used it in a number of ways in her beauty regime, but one that I remember was her advice of rubbing in some vaseline on my new school shoes to stop them cracking, it worked!

These days these little trusty tins for lips are always knocking around in my make-up drawer.

20130803-133739.jpg They come in original, aloe Vera, rose, cocoa butter, SPF 15 not to mention the limited addition’s. Over the years i think I’ve tried them all. I’m not too mad about the limited editions but with their inviting flavors and designs I often can’t resist as they look good enough to eat!

20130803-134426.jpg I really like the rosy lips for my lips on a non-lipstick day as it has a subtle tint that gives a big of life to my natural lip colour.

20130803-134742.jpg The rose and almond oil is also subtle and not over powering.
20130803-135550.jpgThe creme brûlée is a little too perfumed and synthetic for my liking so I tend to use this for small skin areas like cuticles or dry patches on my and or arms. It’s great for pre-tanning by applying a thin layer to your ankles, knees, elbows, between your fingers!

These little pots won’t rehydrate or cure chapped skin/lips but they are soothing and help prevention particularly against the elements.

Ruby Woo

Gwen Stefani being my chosen style icon I really LOVE wearing red lipstick.

My all time favourite for colour choice and staying power is Mac in Ruby Woo and Russian Red both matt.

The blue tones in these red’s suit every skin tone and even make your teeth look a brighter white! I also use a lip liner, Barry M is my favourite.

MAC Ruby Woo £15
Barry M no.3 red liner £2.99
