This award-winning cleansing balm is a firm favourite of mine and it’s worth all the hype! If you haven’t indulged in it yet I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Emma Hardie is a leading UK therapist (Emma used to attend to client’s based in MichaelJohn salon Mayfair, my husband used to work there) Her products are all made in England and she is a pioneer in natural healing and skin rejuvenation.

I use this cleansing balm for both morning and night. As you massage in the balm melts turning into a lovely oil that feels amazing on your skin, you only need a pea size as a little goes a long way. It breaks down all makeup including mascara and the smell (you know how much I like smells) well let’s just say it’s amazing! The Essential oils of Orange, Neroli and Mandarin are so beautiful and calming.

To remove I always use a clean warm damp flannel. The balm comes with a cleansing cloth which is like a microfibre texture and helps remove dirt from pores. My skin is always very clean and hydrated and very soft after using it.

  • Moringa Cleansing Balm is a balanced daily cleanser that thoroughly cleanse deep in the pores, moisturises and calms all skin types
  • Grape Seed Oil and Sweet Almond Oil rich in essential fatty acids help to plump and soften
  • Moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E balance, purify and help to minimise the appearance of open pores
  • Essential oils of Orange, Neroli and Mandarin rejuvenate and revitalise the skin whilst calming the senses
  • Jasmine and Rose help to recondition dull, dry, dehydrated and mature skins
  • Removes all traces of face and eye make-up

This cleansing balm delivers on every promise, my skin is always nourished, plump and the appearance of my pores have improved and my skin is much calmer.

What I also really like about this product is that it is muli-use it is so pure it doubles as a soothing and hydrating mask if left on the skin for ten minutes, or you can apply a thin layer to clean skin before bed as an overnight treatment. It also works as a spot treatment as the moringa is a natural antibacterial.

I’m looking forward to using the Brilliance Face Oil sample and the other samples I have to try out. I’ve just discovered that she does a candle too if it’a the same signature smell then I want one!

Magic Multi-Purpose Oil; Goe Oil 85g |secondblonde

I’ve completely fallen in love with Goe Oil by Jao Brand. It’s a 100% natural semi-solid all over body oil that turns to a liquid when slightly warmed between your hands, it smells gorgeous as it is lightly scented with Monoi Tiare from Tahiti.

What’s in it? It contains 28 plant, fruit, flower oils & butters as follows…

Jojoba Butter, Sunflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Avocado Butter, Grape Seed Butter, Grape Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Rose Hip Oil, Soy Lecithin, Pumpkin Seed Butter, Mango Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Hemp Seed Oil, Kukuinut Oil, Chamomile Oil, Beeswax, Calendula Oil, Essential Oils, Tocopherol, Vitamin E, Acetate, Rosemary Extra

It’s a multi-tasking product you can use from head to toe, their tagline on their packaging is “HANDS. HAIR. BODY & SOUL” which couldn’t be more true.

Verdict It keeps my skin soft and hydrated all day and is also great for spot applying on dry patches. Some use it as an intensive hair mask which I think will suit very course/curly or frizzy hair which soaks up moisture like a sponge. I tend to use a very tiny amount on dry hair to tame my fly-aways.

Summary I love this product and already have my second tube ready to go. It costs £35 so it’s not cheap however well worth every penny and a very little goes a long long way, you can buy your here

A customer I recommended it to at work came back two weeks later to personally thank me as she had received so many compliments on the overall look of her skin and being asked “what are you wearing” due to the soft scent. She also has long luscious ringlet naturally curly hair and this has defined her curls making her hair look healthier and shiny. This feedback made my day!

Jao Brand have been kind enough to send me their lip-balm and skin cream to try out what a lucky girl I am! keep posted for my review of them soon.

Thank you for reading, let me know if you’ve tried this oil or any similar as I’d love to hear from you.

Review: Nivea 3-1 sensitive caring micellar water

photo (2)

If you read my post’s or follow me on instagram you will already know I love to use Nivea essentials alongside my higher end beauty products. Sometimes you don’t need to spend a small fortune to get good quality and great results. I’d just finished a bottle of Micellar water so thought I’d try our Nivea’s latest edition to their sensitive caring range.

The packaging is the new taller bottle with an easy to to open flip lid which is great when you are rushing preventing spills. The label on the front has been updated with cute air bubbles drawn on which must be a reaction to the instagram culture and our obsession to photograph everything!

The product: It’s a 3-1 cleanser for face and eyes for sensitive skin containing dexpanthenol and grape seed oil. Use on cotton wool to remove make-up and dirt without rubbing and moisturises and helps to reduce the signs of sensitive skin: redness, tightness, dryness.

Summary: My skin had been feeling super sensitive with red/dry itchy patches but on first application of this cleansing water I cannot believe the positive effect it’s had on my skin! It’s looking calm, a lot less itchy and no where need as red and angry. I do still double cleanse in the morning using a creamy cleanser which I flannel off, then sweep over with this as my second cleanse. At night I’m a little lazy so rely on this doing he full job which I do twice.

Verdict: This is brilliant stuff! I haven’t tried it on stubborn waterproof mascara yet (i’m a big fan of Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover read here) but it’s great for removing my daily work wear make-up. I am really pleased with it’s performance and will definitely re-purchase and at only £3.69 it’s a bargin.
