Review: Noble Isle Willow Song Bath & Shower Gel

image1 (3)

I discovered Noble Isle as it’s one of our luxurious bath and body brands we house at work. It’s a new brand established in 2011 made in the UK. They are still adding to their already amazing offering from hand wash, bath & shower gel, body lotion, hand lotion, room diffusers and candles.

The scents (think there’s 8 in total) are all inspired by the British Isle’s the logo is very endearing with a bath tub full of flowers representing each place: Rose-Wales, Daffodil-England, Thistle-Scotland and the Four Leaf Clover-Ireland.

I love the idea of having bath products and room scents all in the same fragrance, it’s feels so pampering and luxurious – perfect for some me time.

Bath & Shower Gel in Willow Song

The design is sleek and modern and on first glance if I’m totally honest looks a little basic, but how wrong you can be!! Once you pick up this product and look at it properly you notice the amazing attention to detail and thought which has gone into the design and the high quality. The more you look the prettier they become, the clear bottles with the delicately coloured liquids all look like precious jewels on the shelf, it’s so hard to choose just one!

The shape of the bottle is easy to use in the shower and is very solid and not flimsy. The pump dispenser is matte black which looks quite chic on your shelf and appeals to both men and women so will make great gifts. It has the logo embossed on the top of the pump and around the top of the bottle near the neck is embossed “Noble Isle EST. 2011

On to the product… I’ve been using this shower gel for just over a week and I’m really enjoying using it. The scent is so refreshing and calming it’s a smell I’ve not experienced before, my husband is enjoying using it too! (poor thing normally has to put up with really girly pink kinda shower gels/creams)

My skin feels clean and hydrated, the scent makes me feel fresh and positive in a romantic kind of way and what’s really nice is that the scent lingers on your skin for a few hours after.

It’s not cheap at £20 available at Liberty London but Noble Isle Shower Gels will now be firmly on my wish list when someone wants an idea of a gift. Here’s the description on the back of the bottle:

Next I will be reviewing the Willow Song Candle and trying out the Rhubarb Rhubarb Hand Wash which is  big hit with lot’s of fans already including a few beauty journalist’s.

One last note… here’s the inspiration behind the beautiful Willow Song Scent:

Britain in a Bottle Noble Isle sources water lily and willow from the medieval town of Lavenham: willow bark from the Lavenham Woodland Project, a planting initiative located by the famous Lavenham Walk, a two-mile promenade through green and pleasant English countryside; and water lilies plucked from the 600-year-old spring-fed lake at Lavenham Hall, which has been given new life as the focal point of Kate Denton’s Sculpture Garden.

Have you tried any Noble Isle products or room scent’s I’d love to hear about them?

Review: original source raspberry and cocoa shower

Do you remember when Original Source first hit our shelves with their Mint, Lemon or Lime shower gels? I was a teenager back then and thought they were the best thing ever!

Today it’s not my usual choice to shower with but this caught my eye on the supermarket shelf, one sniff and it was in my trolley!

The packaging is pretty much the same clean lines, clear labeling with a funky edge. So let’s get to the most important the scent… It smells of just what it says if does: raspberry and chocolate, mmmm smells good enough to eat!

The gel is a bright raspberry colour on your skin which in my opinion isn’t the most attractive looking. When I squeeze out a swirl on my sponge it reminds me of a Swiss roll cake!

The formular is vegan and does it’s job of cleansing your skin really well with lots of foam leaving your skin squeaky clean and fresh. I prefer a luxurious feeling creamy cleanser with less foam that leaves your skin feeling hydrated.

The scent of this sweet seductive shower gel is most definitely it’s selling point. It’s tempting to try out all others in the range specially with such a low price point however, I’ve decided that it doesn’t really suit my skins needs.

I picked mine up with my weekly food shop, they are always on offer in supermarkets or drugstores. You can purchase here

Have you tried any of the intense new versions? I’ve just read that they have a new all-in-one moisturising shower gel on offer.

WHIPPED CLEAN Shower gel and Body Butter all in one – smells good enough to eat!

whipped clean

This Whipped Clean Luxe Cream Wash and Shower Butter all in one does not disappoint. A shower butter that’s so thick and creamy it feels luxurious on your skin and smells oh so good!

With 25% moisture oils and butters it’s so moisturising leaving your skin hydrated and smooth with no residue but fresh clean soft skin. I do not feel the need to moisturise after cleansing with this product, it’s a great time saver for early mornings before work.

The vital ingredients include cocoa, shea butters, grapeseed, sweet almond oil, macadamia oil, oh and the added scent of pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla which is why it smells good enough to eat!

It arrived in my Soap and Glory Hattie Stewart designed Christmas Gift Box, I’ve only just gotten round to using it. A little product on a bath sponge goes a long way, it’s great value at  £8 250ml I would repurchase it, take a look here soap and glory. I do love a bit of S&G pampering, how about you?

ORANGEASM™ Every Morning! With Soap and Glory

IMG_8033.JPGAs you may already know I’m a huge Soap and Glory fan. I know, I know it’s all pink and girly but I just can’t help it, they manage to reel me in every time!
I love the fact they have an affordable line of up of up-to-the minute beauty with fun packaging and punchy tag lines, but above all some really nice good quality products that tick all the boxes!

I’ve been using this Orangeasm Body Wash in place of the original Clean On Me™shower gel. I really like the zesty refreshing scent (it contains green mandarin, Sicilian lemon and sweet lemon) it helps to wake me up in the mornings! It’s not over powering citrus or plastic smelling it’s more of a pleasant orange peel smell.

As most S&G products a little goes a long way, I find 3 pumps of this is plenty and lathers up well when used with my natural sea sponge.

My skin is clean, fresh and revitalised.
I think this is a great product for only £6.50 for 500ml and S&G are usually included in 3 for 2 deals at boots, get yours here
